Day 294

Good morning!  My name is Lauren & I'm a grateful recovering alcoholic/addict.  I have a problem with patience, and I am working on that every day.  But the above statement really made me think.  Some people have "everything" and you wouldn't know it.  They don't' flaunt it.  They have a great attitude and are very humble.  I don't have everything, as some may see it.  But I do have everything, my family.  My family and friends are the only things truly important to me.  Patience and attitude are alike but also different. It is interesting in how two things can be so different.  I wrote a poem about it.

Autumn Rain


The rain that gives you a chill, not the warm rain to cool you off.
The rain that lower the temperature, not raises the humidity.
The rain that makes you sad, not the rain that gives relief.
The rain that heavies the fallen leaves, not the rain that gives life to them.
The rain that tells you summer is gone for another year.
