Day 325

Good morning!  My name is Lauren and I'm a grateful, recovering alcoholic/addict.  Yipee!  A new year!  A new start! In February of last year, I made a decision to make a change in my life...a big change.  This is a new year for a fresh, new start in my life.  At the finish line, is just another start line.  Life is a continuous circle of beginnings and ends.  I have to make sure that what I am ending is to make something better.  There are a few ways I could explain last year.  It was terrible because I was drinking all the time then had to go to rehab, so last year sucked.  But I could also look at it this way.  I went to a treatment facility to make my life better, and enjoyed and really "lived" for the rest of the year.  So even though it started out bad, it ended up great.  I had to hit my bottom to realize that, but I ended up coming out on top.  A year ago today, I was feeling miserable, like I did every day.   My life was beyond a mess. So today, I proud to say I made it one more day!  One more day sober in the books. Let's start this year off right, and only make it better.  Happy New Year!
