Day 940

Good afternoon!  My name is Lauren and I'm a grateful, recovering alcoholic/addict.  I used to think that God would not give us more than we can handle, but now I believe that sometimes He does.  He does so that we will have to depend on Him.  So that we will surrender to Him and have to trust fully in Him.  Sometimes we get cocky and think we can do things all on our own.  We can't.  We rest on our laurels.  We want to be self-sufficient and not need anyone else.  But the reality is that God created us to need him, and sometimes he brings us to the same place in our lives for us to learn something or to remember that.  We need to always remember He is the reason for our lives.  We were created for God, by God.  Let us not forget that.  When you feel like you can't take anymore, just give it to God, that's what you are supposed to do, anyway.  That's all I have today.  Have a great one!
